kitchen with innovative and truly unique, excellent service, relaxed atmosphere and a room furnished with style. These are the ingredients for a dinner by Joia, the restaurant chef Pietro Leeman is located in Milan, near the ramparts of Porta Venezia.
First vegetarian restaurant to get a Michelin star, Joia now offers a choice (as Combal Zero, Flipot and fluffy), a small menu (which Leeman called Bistro, with a choice of 6-7 dishes) next to the sumptuous (and more expensive) a la carte dishes.
I opted for the first, spending 35 Euro excluding wine.
beautiful and colorful appetizer (12 euros) served with homemade bread: three paté (chick peas, purple potatoes and beans) served in a palette of honey drops, berry sauce and beetroot. As a first
(12 Euro here) but I tasted a superb lasagna Bolognese with seitan, served with a delicious pumpkin sauce and a drizzle of basil to give a touch of color and harmony.
also good, sweet, though not to the levels of starter and first: a cheese cake served with black currant and toffee ice cream on a bed of dark chocolate (9 Euro). Note
very painful price, even if the cost of the Milan bistro menu is not as high.
The place is special and well worth the trip, both for cooking and for the service.
